Warrior Tunes Holiday Edition

It's that time again, Warriors! It is also, that wonderful time of the year. We have officially made it to the second edition of Warrior Tunes, and you are in for a holiday treat!

This month, we asked students to bring the winter cheer through their favorite holiday songs.

Tawny Ortega (senior, Experimental Psychology) chose "Santa Tell Me" by Ariana Grande as her go-to holiday song. "I picked that song because I listen to it every Christmas, and it puts me in the holiday spirit," Ortega said.

Rolen Spears (sophomore, Communication Studies) listed "Merry Merry" by the bird and the bee. "I love them!," he said.

Gaby Palos (senior, Psychology) chose the famous "All I Want For Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey. "It's honestly a classic," she says. "Every time I hear it I automatically switch into Christmas mode!"

Crystal (senior, Psychology) chose Nat King Cole's very own "The Christmas Song (Merry Christmas to You)."

"This song just brings such warmth with its lyrics. May have never experienced 'chestnuts roasting in an open fire' but just the thought of it sounds amazing," she says.

Signal editors and reporters once again submitted their own songs this month. Even Signal advisor Dr. Shannon Stevens recommended we find Romanian songs for her husband. Thankfully with luck, we tracked a couple of good ones.

The playlist, which is now available on Spotify, has all of these songs and many more! We even threw some songs for Hanukkah and Kwanzaa!

The playlist is collaborative so if you have an account and would like to share any more festive songs for this season that you enjoy, you are welcome and most of all encouraged to do so!

We hope you have a wonderful holiday season and a Happy New Year! We will see you in February for the third edition of Warrior Tunes!
