POMONA - Friday, the women's soccer team from California State University, Stanislaus rallied in the final minute of regulation, on the road, to win 2-1 vs. Cal Poly Pomona.

The Broncos struck first in the 23rd minute of the game as Nushin Tasbihchi took a pass from teammates Justine Barclay and Valerie Strawn to knock in the goal on the right corner.

It wasn't until the second half when the Warriors responded with the tying and then scoring the game-winning goal, both in the final five minutes of regulation.

Emily Relles hit a corner kick on the right side to Alisa Barlow who then smashed the header from the center box to tie it 1-1.

Alexia Poon assisted teammate Karli Nestler in the final minute as she knocked in the winning goal, her second of the season.

"We played with fantastic heart and determination today and beat a quality team," CSU Stanislaus head coach Gabriel Bolton said. "There is no question [that] we absolutely dominated the second half and kept battling the entire 90 minutes."
