Homecoming week sparks interest in student events

Homecoming is quickly approaching and this year the events are being thrown by Warrior Squad and ASI. Homecoming at CSU Stan has been occurring since fall of 2000 and is funded by ASI. The theme this year is "Please Don't Stop the Music". The festivities begin on November 17th and last the entire week.

Low gas prices up economy?

Gas is now cheaper than it has been in years, averaging at $1 less per gallon than it was two months ago. President-elect Barack Obama offers promises of huge energy reforms and tax cuts while encouraging citizens to do their part regarding energy consumption, according to a recent interview with CNN.

Holiday help wanted Turlock in community

Linda Martin has always volunteered her time to help those in need, but this year she's in charge of the kettle program in Turlock.

Students win big at poker game

USUPB is hosting the final round of the Hold 'Em or Fold 'Em poker tournament on November 24 in the Carol Burke Student Lounge from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. According to Taylor Little, USUPB facility coordinator, fifty-six people turned out for the first round of the tournament that took place on September 25th as well as for the second round that took place on October 23rd.
