Top 10 reasons we vote the way we do. Election Day has passed and hopefully you did your patriotic duty and cast a vote that will help shape our cities, state, and nation. I wanted to find out what issues, ideas, and ideals drove young California State University, Stanislaus students to the polls.
Recycling can pay off, unless you are recycling newspapers

The issue of recycling has been a subject of much student activism this semester. From TKE fraternity's weeklong recycling competition in October to Eco Warriors' attempts to promote environmentally friendly materials and practices in the campus dining facilities and their the wall of cups.
Voting for student government can make a difference

"If you don't vote…..you don't count." The Get Out The Vote slogan might sound cliché', but that's the lesson 37,000 students learned last month at American River College. ARC student government representatives passed a resolution 8-3, with 3 abstentions, in support of Proposition 8.
