Health Center provides free student cholesterol screening

Bad cholesterol, good cholesterol - what's a heart to do? The Student Health Center conducts cholesterol and blood glucose screening every year for students, faculty and staff. Faculty and staff pay only $10 but student screenings are free. The American Heart Association recommends getting a cholesterol screening and along with knowing your cholesterol level to live a more healthy lifestyle.
Econ club picnic honors scholars
Food, refreshments, acknowledgements and a couple of farewells summed up the Economics Department Club picnic from 1 to 4 p.m. May 14 in the Faculty Development Center Courtyard at California State University, Stanislaus. Faculty of the economics department bid farewell to graduating seniors, awarded scholarships to students, and honored new student members to the Economics honor society, Omicron Delta Epsilon.
Kappas clipped for good cause

National fraternity Kappa Sigma held a fundraising contest at California State University, Stanislaus during the week of May 12-15 in which the team to raise the most money would shave its members' heads. The fraternity had placed a bin for each team in front of their table in the quad to collect change and dollar bills from anyone willing to donate.
Warrior squad pumps up school spirit

During the past years, students at California State University Stanislaus have always been viewed as having school spirit, perhaps due to a lack of motivation or spark. This year, the Warrior Squad wants to make a difference and wants more student participation.
