ASI hosts recreation and wellness week

The Associated Students Inc. Recreation and Wellness staff is putting on Wellness Week May 12-16 out by the quad. There are many healthy activities being promoted and Monday started off the week with a "Bike to School Day" where students and faculty were encouraged to ride their bikes to campus.
ASI Recreation and Wellness staff was present by the bike racks handing out raffle tickets for participants to enter at a chance to win a Beach Cruiser.
"Fat Tuesday" had nutritional giveaways in the Quad and there was also the opportunity to join in on Great Lakes Fitness Rally, a walk around Warrior Lake from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This Wednesday is the "Wellness Challenge" and the entire focus on wellness week with representatives from a variety of organizations come and present an activity at their booth. There are games, challenges, body fat testing and if you complete the wellness challenge you can win a free T-shirt.
Thursday's theme is "Protect Yourself" where sun safety kits will be given out in the Quad.
Then Friday there will be a movie day in the Carol Burke Lounge dealing with "Body Image Awareness Day" where they will be showing the films Mean Girls and Clueless.
