The center quad at California State University, Stanislaus transformed into a Mexican village plaza with its luscious green grass, wooden benches, live florclorico dancing, and carne asada scent in the air for the celebration of Cinco de Mayo.

The Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan chapter on campus put on this event on Mon., May 5 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. for students to enjoy Mexican style music, entertainment and food.

M.E.Ch.A. members spent the lovely, warm day outside barbequing carne asada with a large Mexican flag hanging in front of their booth while preparing tacos for students.
