Students at California State University, Stanislaus have the opportunity this spring break to go to Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure Park through the Outdoor Adventure Program.
The price of the trip is $60. Sign-ups will start at 8 a.m. March 10 at the information desk. Just 30 spots are available.
"We are expected to have a high number of students camp out that Sunday before signups due to the high interest in the trip" said Andy Hugh, Outdoor Adventure Program coordinator for the Union Program Board.
Members of the Union Program Board said they expected tickets to sell out within the first hour. The reason they are expecting such a high turnout is the price for the three-day two-night trip. They will spend two days at Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure Park. A normal two-day pass for Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure Park pass alone goes for $132.
UPB can offer such a low price is because a small portion of money is taken out of all students' tuition in order for the Union Program Board to offer events at no cost or a discounted rate.
Hugh decided to go with this idea for the spring break trip because before the spring semester there was a survey asking what students wanted for spring events and on the top of list was an amusement park trip. He said he decided to do what the majority of students would want and what could be the most affordable.
